I was recently commissioned to spend a day with Liverpool John Moores University's events team. Their goal was to produce new images of facilities for marketing and publicity materials. I worked closely before the shoot with the team to suggest what they could do in preparation; dressing the rooms, ensuring they were clear of clutter and clean and finally that all the rooms were available and not being used. We managed to cover facilities across 4 sites and even found time for some tea and cake !
Of course, I've loads of experience taking photographs when these spaces are full of people - check the events portfolio for examples.
My highlight of the commission was visiting a studio in the Art and Design Academy and seeing a demonstration of a 3D laser cutting machine - impossible to photograph as it was working, but I provided a nice set of images of finished products for the team. Here the technician is holding a sheet of wood, that a series of animal shapes had been cut from, for a student project.
