50 years on and the Beatles are still big news in Liverpool. Thousands of tourists and millions of pounds are spent as visitors come to the city to pinpoint all the locations that have a link to the band’s history or are currently running cultural events linked to them.
A University of Liverpool study published in Feb. 2016 suggested that impact of Beatles specific activities was calculated to be a £39m turnover and 690 jobs in 2014. While indirect impact - the degree to which Beatles-related business benefits local suppliers – was calculated to be a total of £15.64m turnover and 276 jobs in the city in 2014. Overall the researchers suggested the net impact of the Beatles legacy in 2014 was £81.9m turnover and 2,335 jobs. Which is pretty impressive!
Of course I am a fan of their music and have a big archive of Beatles related images. I sell these directly but also through picture libraries. Doing a quick review, I’ve sold quite a few in the last year – here they all are.
Don't hesitate to get in touch if you are after Beatles related images from Liverpool - if I don't have something already, I can head out and shoot exactly what you need.
